LegCo Members meet with members of Tsuen Wan and Central and Western District Councils (with photos)

Members of the Legislative Council (LegCo) held meetings today (May 26) with members of the Tsuen Wan District Council (DC) and the Central and Western DC respectively at the LegCo Complex to discuss and exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting with Tsuen Wan DC, LegCo Members discussed and exchanged views with DC members on the following issues including street obstruction and unlicensed hawking of cooked food and goods by foreign domestic helpers during public holidays; odour problem on the Tsuen Wan waterfront; Footbridge B in Tsuen Wan; improving the density of standees and the environment inside bus compartments; and improving the facilities and maintenance of matchbox-style school premises. The meeting was convened by Mr Jeffrey Lam and attended by Ms Starry Lee, Mr Michael Tien, Mr Chan Han-pan, Mr Leung Che-cheung, Ms Alice Mak, Mr Chu Hoi-dick, Mr Holden Chow, Mr Chan Chun-ying, Mr Lau Kwok-fan, Dr Cheng Chung-tai and Mr Kwong Chun-yu.
For the meeting with Central and Western DC, LegCo Members discussed and exchanged views with DC members on a number of issues including the implementation arrangements for municipal solid waste charging and the problem of illegal refuse deposits in the district; increasing the seating capacity of public light buses; concerns over shop front extensions; concerns over cleanliness of streets; and concerns over bid-rigging. The meeting was convened by Mr James To and attended by Ms Starry Lee, Mr Chan Kin-por, Mrs Regina Ip, Mr Frankie Yick, Mr Yiu Si-wing, Mr Kwok Wai-keung, Mr Martin Liao, Dr Lo Wai-kwok, Ms Yung Hoi-yan, Mr Cheung Kwok-kwan and Mr Lau Kwok-fan.
