Fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung

At about 3.35pm, a private light bus driven by a 59-year-old woman was travelling along Kam Sheung Road eastbound. When reaching near Kat Hing Wai, it reportedly knocked down the 75-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.11pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. She has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in early-July.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
