LCSD Museum Pass gives easy access to Hong Kong's public museums
****************************************************************
Four large-scale exhibitions staged by LCSD in collaboration with three internationally renowned museums are taking place to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR. These are the "Inventing le Louvre: From Palace to Museum over 800 Years" jointly organised by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Louvre Museum; the "Eternal Life - Exploring Ancient Egypt" exhibition co-organised by the Hong Kong Science Museum and the British Museum from June 2; and the "Longevity and Virtues: Birthday Celebrations of the Qing Emperors and Empress Dowagers" and "Hall of Mental Cultivation of The Palace Museum – Imperial Residence of Eight Emperors" exhibitions, to be presented by the Hong Kong Museum of History and the Hong Kong Museum of Art in collaboration with the Palace Museum, commencing from the end of June or early July.
In addition to enjoying unlimited admission to the above large-scale exhibitions and saving time that would otherwise be spent purchasing admission tickets, holders of a Museum Pass can enjoy free admission to fee-charging special exhibitions (unless otherwise specified) at LCSD museums and the fee-charging permanent exhibitions of the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Hong Kong Space Museum. They can also enjoy an array of related benefits at various museum gift shops and catering outlets at the LCSD's museums. Furthermore, Museum Pass holders are offered specific benefits when visiting Ocean Park or Hong Kong Disneyland.
The annual fee for the family pass is $100, while that of the individual passes and the concessionary passes are $50 and $25 respectively. For full details of the Museum Pass, please visit the website at www.museums.gov.hk/en_US/web/portal/museum-pass.html .
