Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected crack cocaine (with photo)

     Hong Kong Customs yesterday (May 6) seized about 540 grams of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated market value of about $760,000 at Shenzhen Bay Control Point.
 
     Customs officers intercepted an incoming female last night at Shenzhen Bay Control Point and found the suspected crack cocaine inside her handbag. The 22-year-old woman was then arrested.
 
     The arrested woman claimed to be unemployed. Investigation is ongoing.
 
     Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
