Fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin

At about 3.44pm, a private car driven by a 47-year-old woman was travelling along Clear Water Bay Road towards Choi Wan Estate. When reaching near Ngau Chi Wan Market, it reportedly knocked down a man who was crossing the road.
The man, aged around 60, sustained injuries to his head. He was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.16pm.
The private car driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. She is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
