Fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong

At about 8.18pm yesterday, a private car driven by a 40-year-old man was travelling along Hoi Yuen Road towards Wai Yip Street. When reaching near 61 Hoi Yuen Road, it reportedly knocked down two men aged 54 and 27.
The 54-year-old man sustained multiple injuries. He was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 8.45pm. The 27-year-old man sustained leg injuries and was sent to United Christian Hospital in conscious state.
The private car driver was arrested for drink driving and dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
