CE meets Governor of Hunan Province (with photo)

The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Governor of Hunan Province, Mr Xu Dazhe, at Government House today (April 26) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Mr Leung welcomed Mr Xu who was in town to attend the Hunan (Hong Kong) Investment and Trade Promotion Week and wished the event every success. He said that Hong Kong could act as a "super-connector" for Hunan's development and complement the implementation of its "attracting investment" and "going global" strategies, especially in areas of finance, professional services, trade, maritime and tourism.

Mr Leung hoped that Hong Kong and Hunan could continue to utilise the opportunities brought about by the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) and the Pan-Pearl River Delta platform to deepen economic and trade exchanges and co-operation between the two places.
