Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected rhino horn (with photo)

Customs officers inspected an express parcel declared as "Cashew Nuts" originating from Mozambique and found two pieces of suspected rhino horn. After investigation, Customs officers today (March 30) arrested a 52-year-old man. Investigation is ongoing.
Under the Protection of Endangered Species of Animals and Plants Ordinance, any person found guilty of importing or exporting an endangered species without a licence is liable to a maximum fine of $5 million and imprisonment for two years.
