Special traffic and transport arrangements for event to be held in Wan Chai North this Sunday

The special traffic and transport arrangements mainly include:
* The bus terminus at Expo Drive East will be suspended from about 12.30am to 10pm on March 26.
* The following bus stops will be suspended in phases from about 12.30am onwards on March 26:
1. Expo Drive East near Convention Avenue;
2. Expo Drive outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase II;
3. Harbour Road westbound outside Causeway Centre;
4. Harbour Road westbound outside Central Plaza;
5. Harbour Road westbound outside Shui On Centre; and
6. Harbour Road eastbound outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
* Citybus routes No. 25A and 40M, New World First Bus routes No. 15B, 18P, H1 and N8P, and Cross Harbour routes No. 905, 961 and 978 will be temporarily diverted in phases from about 5am onwards on March 26.
* The taxi stands at Expo Drive and Man Kwong Street outside Central Ferry Pier No. 2 will be suspended in phases from about 12.30am onwards on March 26.
* The parking spaces and motorcycle parking spaces at Lung King Street, Hing Fat Street Public Car Park (except for the disabled parking spaces) and Expo Drive East will be suspended in phases from about 7pm onwards on March 25.
The TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of Wan Chai North will be busier than usual. Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas as far as possible. In case of traffic congestion, they should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police. Members of the public who plan to go to the affected areas are advised to plan their routes early, allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay, and use public transport services as far as possible.
The TD and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and implement appropriate measures whenever necessary. Motorists and the members of the public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news broadcast on radio and television.
