Recruitment of museum volunteers begins
***************************************
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has launched the Museum Volunteer Scheme with the aim of recruiting a dedicated team of museum volunteers comprised of members of the public. The scheme aims to enhance public engagement in heritage and museums activities and to leverage on community resources. The recruited volunteers will be encouraged to show off their talents, share their knowledge and contribute to society, while also enhancing museum services and heightening visitors' enjoyment.
People aged 18 or above are welcome to apply. The volunteers are expected to be passionate about museum work, willing to help others and good at interacting with people.
Applicants who pass the interview and complete training sessions will be offered positions as volunteers. Volunteers may serve in museums and assist in heritage and museum events including visitor services, education activities and workshops, community outreach programmes, collection management, exhibit maintenance, the Muse Fest HK and more.
