***************************************************************
The following is issued on behalf of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education:
The 2017-18 Funding Scheme for Exchange in Belt and Road Countries is open for application from today (February 28) and the deadline is April 7 (Friday).
The Home Affairs Bureau and the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education has launched the Funding Scheme for Exchange in Belt and Road Countries to support registered non-profit-making organisations, statutory bodies or charitable organisations to organise, on a matching grant basis, exchange programmes in the Belt and Road countries for young people from Hong Kong.
The scheme provides funding support for young people aged 15 to 29 in Hong Kong to take part in one-way, two-way or multi-way exchange activities with their counterparts in the Belt and Road countries, with a view to achieving a "people-to-people bond" and to enrich knowledge among young people in Hong Kong towards the Belt and Road Initiative, a significant national development strategy.
Interested parties are welcome to join the briefing session to be held in Civic Education Resource Centre, 7/F, Youth Square, 238 Chai Wan Road, Chai Wan, Hong Kong on March 6 (Monday) to learn more about the scope of the scheme. Prior reservation is required.
Please visit the website of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (www.cpce.gov.hk/main/en/brscheme.htm) for details of the scheme and enrolment for the briefing session. For enquiries, please contact the Secretariat of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education at 3509 7031.
