Sharing session on "Jin Yong and His Stories" to be held at Heritage Museum in March
***************************************************************
The first exhibition gallery in Hong Kong to be themed on Jin Yong, the renowned martial arts novelist, will open in March this year at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. In conjunction with the opening of the Jin Yong Gallery, the museum has invited veteran journalists Mr Chip Tso and Mr Benny Li to share stories of their interactions with this literary giant of Hong Kong, taking participants on a journey into the fascinating and philosophical world of martial arts masters that Dr Louis Cha (Jin Yong) created.
There is a saying that, "Wherever you find Chinese people, you'll find Jin Yong's novels." Chinese people of all ages enjoy the Jin Yong novels, as well as the great variety of cultural and creative products derived from Dr Cha's works. Mr Tso and Mr Li are very familiar with Dr Cha and his works, including Jin Yong's world of martial arts, humanism, philosophy, humanistic analysis and artistry. Through the two speakers' insights, members of the public will gain a better understanding of Jin Yong.
The sharing session will be held at from 3pm to 4.30pm on March 5 (Sunday) at the Theatre, 1/F of Hong Kong Heritage Museum ( 1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin). A maximum of 300 participants will be welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, please call 2180 8260. Registered participants can redeem their admission slips for the talk at the distribution counter in the G/F lobby on the day of the event from noon onwards.
