Transcript of remarks by CE at media session before ExCo meeting (with video)
***************************************************************
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, at a media session before the Executive Council meeting this morning (February 14):
Reporter: Mr Leung, in light of reports that Mr Xiao Jianhua was taken out of his Four Seasons Hotel in a wheelchair, I have three questions. (A) Do you think there is anything to suggest that he might be taken against his will from the hotel or from Hong Kong? And (b) can you confirm if Mr Xiao Jianhua leaves Hong Kong legally by boat? If so, which border checkpoint did he use and which travel document did he use? And (c) are you concerned that this is becoming the next Causeway Bay booksellers incident and it could undermine “one country, two systems” in Hong Kong?
Chief Executive: I give you one answer to all your three questions. No one should speculate, no one should speculate on the matter like this. And anyone who has information should provide information to the Police.
