CE's response to fire incident at MTR train

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, expressed high concern over the fire incident at a MTR train tonight (February 10) that has resulted in multiple injuries. He has requested relevant departments to fully investigate and follow up on the incident.

     He also asked the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, to visit the injured persons at the hospitals on behalf of the Government, to understand their conditions and to instruct the various hospitals to give them full treatment.

     The Chief Executive extended his deepest sympathy to those who were injured and wished them a speedy recovery.
