Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine (with photos)

Customs officers yesterday intercepted two incoming male passengers, aged 29 and 30, at Lo Wu Control Point and found about 1kg of suspected cocaine in their possessions. In addition, Customs officers also intercepted a 28-year-old female passenger arriving in Hong Kong from Siem Reap, Cambodia, at Hong Kong International Airport. About 2kg of suspected cocaine was found inside her suitcase. The cases are now under investigation.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
