Police will implement special traffic arrangements on January 21 and 22 to facilitate the holding of a public event in Kowloon East.

Phase I (from 11am to 11.59pm daily)

A. Road closure

- Westbound Hoi Bun Road between Shun Yip Street and Kai Hing Road;
- Kai Hing Road to the south of Lam Chak Street, except for vehicles making access to Kerry D. G. Warehouse (Kowloon Bay); and
- The unnamed road between Shing Fung Road and Kai Tak Runway Park.

B. Traffic diversions

- Traffic along eastbound Hoi Bun Road cannot turn right to southbound Kai Hing Road;
- Traffic along westbound Hoi Bun Road cannot go straight along westbound Hoi Bun Road at its junction with Shun Yip Street, and must turn to Shun Yip Street;
- Traffic along westbound Hoi Bun Road heading for Kowloon Bay will be diverted to northbound Shun Yip Street;
- Lam Chak Street will be re-routed from one-way westbound to one-way eastbound; and
- Kai Hing Road between Hoi Bun Road and Lam Chak Street will be re-routed from one-way southbound to one-way northbound.

Phase II (from 1pm to 2.30pm daily)

A. Road closure

     The following road sections will be closed, except for taxis, franchised buses, green minibuses (GMBs) and permitted vehicles:

- Southbound Cheung Yip Street between Lam Chak Street and Shing Cheong Road;
- Westbound Shing Cheong Road;
- Westbound of the unnamed road connecting Shing Cheong Road and Shing Fung Road; and
- Southbound Shing Fung Road.

B. Traffic diversion

     Traffic from southbound Cheung Yip Street will be diverted via eastbound Lam Chak Street and northbound Kai Hing Road.

Phase III (from 2.30pm to 6.30pm daily)

A. Road closure

     The following road sections will be closed, except for franchised buses, GMBs and permitted vehicles:

- Southbound Cheung Yip Street between Lam Chak Street and Shing Cheong Road;
- Westbound Shing Cheong Road;
- Westbound of the unnamed road connecting Shing Cheong Road and Shing Fung Road; and
- Southbound Shing Fung Road.

B. Traffic diversion

- Traffic from southbound Cheung Yip Street will be diverted via eastbound Lam Chak Street and northbound Kai Hing Road.

Phase IV (from 6.30pm to 11.59pm daily)

     The road closure and traffic diversions arrangements are the same as Phase II.

Vehicle drop-off point
----------------------

     Vehicle drop-off point will be designated at western kerbside lane of Kai Hing Road and western kerbside lane of Lam Chak Street from 11am to 11.59pm daily on January 21 and 22.

Suspension of parking spaces
----------------------------

     All goods vehicle parking spaces on Lam Chak Street will be suspended from 8pm on January 20 to 11.59pm on January 22.

     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior notice.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
