Murder in Tuen Mun

About 11.42pm, Police received a report from a 58-year-old man that he attacked his 52-year-old wife with a sharp object in a unit on 33 Tsing Chung Koon Road in Tuen Mun.
Police officers sped to the scene and found the 52-year-old woman lying unconsciously at scene. Sustaining injuries on her head, neck and hands, the woman was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state where she was certified dead at 00.32am today (December 31).
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased disputed with the 58-year-old man and was attacked by him with a sharp object.
The 58-year-old man was arrested in suspected connection with the case and he is being detained for further enquiries.
Post-mortem examinations on the deceased will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of her death.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tuen Mun are under way.
