LD to hold occupational health public talks

     The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Concept of Infection Control for Workers of Residential Care Homes for the Elderly" on January 5, 2017 (Thursday). The talk will explain the means in which micro-organisms enter the human body and their health effects. The concept of infection control in residential care homes for the elderly will also be introduced.

     The talk will be held at 3pm in the Lecture Hall, Hong Kong Space Museum, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The LD will hold another talk entitled "Chemicals and Occupational Health" on January 9 (Monday). The talk will explain the ways in which chemicals enter the human body and their health effects. Preventive measures against chemical hazards will also be discussed.

     The talk will be held at 3pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free. For enquiries or registration, please call 2852 4040.
