Dead body found case in Tsing Yi reclassified as manslaughter

About 3.16pm that day, Police received a report that a person was floating in the sea off Tsuen Wan Pier. Police officers sped to the scene and rescued a girl from the sea. She was certified dead at scene.
After investigation, Police confirmed that the deceased was a 16-year-old girl. Police later arrested the girl’s 20-year-old boyfriend in Kwai Chung on the night of December 20 in suspected connection with the case. He was charged today with one count of manslaughter and the case will be mentioned at Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (December 23).
Investigation by the District Crime Squad of Kwai Tsing District is under way.
