CE meets CAS President (with photo)

The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Professor Bai Chunli, at Government House this evening (December 16) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Mr Leung welcomed Professor Bai to Hong Kong to attend the second Hong Kong & Guangzhou International Conference on Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine. Noting that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government attaches great importance to the development of innovation and technology, Mr Leung said he hoped that the CAS and Hong Kong could strengthen co-operation to contribute to enhancing the country's development and research in innovation and technology, as well as give new impetus to Hong Kong's economy.
