Fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

At about 7.28pm yesterday, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 59-year-old man was travelling along Tai Nam Street towards Wong Chuk Street. When reaching Wong Chuk Street, it reportedly knocked down a 34-year-old man who was crossing the road. After the impact, the LGV left the scene.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was certified dead at scene.
Upon investigation, Police arrested the LGV driver on Yu Chau Street for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for enquires.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
