Chief Executive congratulates King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (December 2) congratulated His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand on his ascension to the throne.

     Mr Leung said, "Hong Kong and Thailand have long enjoyed close economic and trade ties. The two places have also built up close connections in culture, education and tourism.

     "Hong Kong is the international financial and trade centre of China. Thai enterprises can leverage on Hong Kong's advantages of 'one country' and 'two systems' to explore more business opportunities. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government looks forward to further deepening our links with Thailand."
