Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine (with photo)

     Hong Kong Customs yesterday (November 4) seized about 2.1 kilograms of suspected cocaine with an estimated market value of about $2.4 million at Lo Wu Control Point and arrested a man.
 
     Customs officers yesterday evening intercepted an incoming male passenger at Lo Wu Control Point and found about 2.1 kilograms of suspected cocaine in his possession.
 
     The 36-year-old man was arrested and claimed to be a security guard. The case is still under investigation.
 
     Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
