Prospects Theatre to launch 11th Playwright Scheme

Now in its 11th year, the scheme is introducing some new practices: 14 long plays will be presented in the reader's theatre format, four short plays with running times of not more than 45 minutes each will be presented in two different sessions, and one selected play from last year, "Motherhood" by Benny Leung, will be rerun by incorporating stage effects.
The 19 playwrights are theatre practitioners including experienced actors, creative directors and sought-after writers. The scheme offers opportunities for newcomers to showcase their talent. The productions form a creative mixture of stories based on daily life, offering an exciting chance for theatre audiences to experience topical issues from alternative angles.
The event will comprise a reading session, a seminar and performances. Details are as follows:
