Ruyi art gallery opens in Hong Kong (with photo)
************************************************
Founded in Singapore and since expanded to Shanghai, art gallery operator Ruyi announced today (September 26) that it has opened its RUYI149 Gallery in Hong Kong as a regional headquarters, leveraging the city’s thriving art scene to promote its contemporary art pieces in Asia.

Located in its own building at 149 Hollywood Road in Central, RUYI149 Gallery is a six-story gallery offering varied art pieces by a mix of leading international contemporary artists, including local and regional emerging talent. Its founder Bini Low has been dealing in art for 25 years and is confident in using Hong Kong as the company's regional headquarters to promote its art pieces in the region.

She said, "Hong Kong has been a leading international art and culture centre for years. Many global galleries and auction houses have a presence in the city. Together with museums like M+, global events such as Art Basel and many more, the vibrant art scene in the city makes it the ideal place for us to manage our main operations in the region."

She added, "Hong Kong is not only an international financial centre, but also a place to engage with the large number of high-net-worth individuals as well as international and Mainland visitors. It is the best window for us to showcase and sell our art pieces in the region."

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion Dr Jimmy Chiang said, "Hong Kong, as one of the world’s largest art markets by auction sales, provides huge business opportunities for art galleries. Together with our world-class transport and logistics networks and free port status with no value added or sales tax, the city is the ideal place for galleries to set up or expand in the region. We wish RUYI149 Gallery every success in Hong Kong."
