Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (April 12) that the red tides found in water off Middle Bay Beach, Chung Hom Kok Beach and Stanley Main Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island, have dissipated.

Since the water off Middle Bay Beach and Chung Hom Kok Beach is now suitable for swimming, the red flags at the beaches have been lowered.

However, due to big waves, the red flag at Stanley Main Beach remains hoisted. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.
