Police today (August 13) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Tseung Kwan O on August 7.
About 10.42am on that day, Police received a report that a man was found floating in the sea off a cemetery on O King Road. He was rescued and rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for medical treatment where he was certified dead at 11.49am.
The deceased was believed to be a Chinese male aged between 30 and 35. He was about 1.78 metres tall and of medium build, with a beard on his chin and short black hair. He was wearing a grey short-sleeved shirt, brown shorts and a sport shoe when he was found. Police found a silver torch and a key in his possession but no identity document was found on the body.
Initial investigations revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or has any information to offer to contact officers of the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Tseung Kwan O Division on 2703 2236.
