00Police today (June 4) arrested a 36-year-old woman suspected to be in connection with a murder case in which her one-year-old daughter was killed in Sham Shui Po this afternoon.
00About 6.40pm, the 36-year-old woman called Police and requested assistance.
00Police sped to the woman﷿s residence at Wing Chun House in Wing Cheong Estate and located the 1-year-old baby girl lying unconscious on the ground inside the kitchen. Sustaining multiple chop wounds to her neck, the baby girl was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where she was certified dead at 7.35pm.
00The 36-year-old woman sustained injuries to her wrist and neck. She was sent to Caritas Medical Centre in conscious state.
00Police seized a chopper at scene.
00The woman was arrested for murder and is still being detained for further enquiries.
00A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the baby girl.
00Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po are underway.
