Construction of platform deck at outdoor training camp in Sai Kung
**********************************************************

The Government intends to allow the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) to erect an elevated beam-slab reinforced concrete platform deck of about 170 square metres within an area of about 275 square metres of foreshore and seabed near the HKFYG Jockey Club Sai Kung Outdoor Training Camp in Tai Mong Tsai, New Territories. The proposed works will extend the existing deck to allow more activity space for campers.

The works are scheduled to commence on November 1, 2012, and to be completed by March 31, 2013.

The extent of the area affected is described in a notice published in the Government Gazette today (August 17).

The notice and its related plan are posted on notice boards near the site. The plan can be seen and purchased on order at the Survey and Mapping Office of the Lands Department, 23/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point. The plan can also be seen at the Sai Kung District Office and on the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) under Government Notices.

Any person who considers that he has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and seabed involved may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, on or before October 17.
