Appeal for information on a dead body found in Tuen Mun (with photo)

     Police today (January 18) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Tuen Mun on January 10.

     At about 12.50pm on that day, Police received a report that a female body was found off Promanade, Tuen Mun Ferry Pier, Tuen Mun.

     The deceased, aged about 60 to 80, stood about 1.55m tall, was of fat build and with short hair in white and black colour. She had a mole near her nose and her two incisors were missing. She had a seven-inch-long old injury mark at the back of her left thigh, an old injury mark at the back of her right thigh and spotty mark on both forearms.

     When found, the deceased was wearing a dark red jacket, a pink waistcoat, two shirts, a pair of black sweat pants, a pair of black trousers, a pair of red socks, a green bracelet on left arm and a silver ring on left ring finger. A pair of red cloth shoes was found in the vicinity.

     Initial investigations revealed that there was no suspicious circumstance surrounding her death.

     Police urged anyone who knows the identity of the deceased to contact officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Castle Peak Division on 3661 5935 or 3661 5936.
