The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will hold a seminar entitled "Tapping the Business Opportunities of the 12th Five-Year Plan and Developing the Mainland Market" on September 22 (Thursday). The seminar will explore how SMEs can grasp the business opportunities arising from the 12th Five-Year Plan and develop the Mainland's domestic market through the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA).
At the seminar, the Director, Business Banking, Commercial Banking of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Mr Paul Yeung, will introduce green financing, which helps enterprises to purchase energy-saving and emission-reducing equipment. The Business Development Director of Dunwell Enviro-Tech (Holdings) Limited, Mr Victor C Li, will focus on the business opportunities for the environmental sector under the 12th Five-Year Plan. The Principal Trade Officer of the Trade and Industry Department, Ms Vien Yuen, will introduce how CEPA can help enterprises tap the business opportunities in the Mainland. The Assistant General Manager of the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation, Mr Dennis Wong, will explore with SMEs credit risk management for domestic sales. The Managing Director of Kin Man Garment Factory Limited and Life Honourable President of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Business, Mr Felix Chan Kwok-wai, will share his experience in venturing into the Mainland market.
The seminar will be held at 2.30pm in the Lecture Theatre, G/F, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (MTR Tin Hau Station, exit B). The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
