Police today (August 20) arrested a 38-year-old foreign man in suspected connection with a murder in Tsuen Wan yesterday morning (August 19) in which a foreign woman died.
Police received a report that a woman was found collapsed at the shore near 44 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan yesterday morning and she was later certified dead at scene. After extensive investigation, Police arrested the man in a flat on Nam Cheong Street, Sham Shui Po at small hours today. The deceased was believed to be a 35-year-old foreign woman.
Police seized a fruit knife near the shore at scene in suspected connection with the case.
The man was arrested for murder and is being detained for further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted later today to ascertain the cause of death of the woman.
Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South are proceeding.
