Call to stop sale and consumption of two kinds of plasticiser-tainted sauce imported from Taiwan (with photo)

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) announced today (August 17) that two samples of sauce, "Flavor Full Black Sesame Spread" and "Kimlan Sweet Sauce", imported from Taiwan (pictured) were found to contain a plasticiser, di-butyl phthalate (DBP). The CFS advised the public to stop consumption and instructed the trade to immediately stop selling the batches concerned of both products.
