She says with the rising expectation for quality life and better living environment, society has placed unprecedented emphasis on the provision of public open space and greening in recent years.
She points out that the two major development projects, namely West Kowloon Cultural District and the East Kowloon development at the former airport site, will commence construction in the next few years. Both projects reserve a significant portion of the sites for the provision of public open space and greening.
Finally, Mrs Fung thanks the delegates for their participation in the World Congress and looks forward to hearing more from the speakers in the coming few days. |
