The Postmaster General, Mr Tam Wing-pong, today (May 26) announced that a set of special stamps with the theme of "Jellyfish" will be released on June 12 (Thursday). Associated stamp products will also be on sale from the same day.

This set of stamps, depicting six different species of jellyfish, is for the first time in Hong Kong philatelic history printed with the glow-in-the-dark effect which juxtaposes the gorgeous jellyfish against a contrasting dark background.

Official first day covers at $1 each will be put on sale at all post offices from May 29. This set of stamps and the associated philatelic products will be displayed at the General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin Central Post Offices from the same day. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at all philatelic offices from May 29 to June 4.
