Applications invited for use of Students' study rooms

    Students intending to use the Hong Kong Public Libraries Students﷿ Study Room service during the March to May examination period can apply for admission cards as from Friday (January 12).

     The opening hours of the Students' Study Rooms will be extended to seven days a week on a three-session basis from March 1 to May 31.

     Application forms and details of regulations will be available on Friday at all Hong Kong public libraries and can be downloaded from the website www.hkpl.gov.hk under the heading 䩕Library Notices蒅.

     Applicants should be registered borrowers of the Hong Kong Public Libraries. Priority (95% of seats) will be given to candidates sitting for major public exams or professional exams. Only one session of each period will be made available. Details of the sessions are as follows:

     First period: March 1 to April 20 (deadline for application is February 7 and the result will be announced from February 21 to 28)

     Second period: April 21 to May 31 (deadline for application is March 31 and the result will be announced from April 11 to 20)

     Morning session: 8am to 12.30pm

     Afternoon session: 12.45pm to 5.15pm

     Evening session: 5.30pm to 10pm (5.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holiday)

     Libraries providing Students﷿ Study Room service include Shek Tong Tsui, Chai Wan, Quarry Bay, Aberdeen, Pok Fu Lam, Lockhart Road, Kowloon, To Kwa Wan, Ngau Tau Kok, Shui Wo Street, Po On Road, Lai Chi Kok, Ngau Chi Wan, San Po Kong, Yau Ma Tei, Fa Yuen Street, Sha Tin, Ma On Shan, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, North Kwai Chung, South Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi, Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai, Fanling, Sheung Shui, Tai Po, Sai Kung, Tseung Kwan O and Cheung Chau Public Library.
