********************************

The following is issued on behalf of The Equestrian Company:

People will have a rare opportunity to watch an equestrian dressage demonstration on New Year's Eve.

A temporary paddock will be built in the Sha Tin Park for Hong Kong's Para-Equestrian Team captain, Nelson Yip, to show his skills at 3pm this Sunday (December 31) at a special thematic event entitled "Equestrian Fun Park".

The event is free and is jointly organised by the Equestrian Company, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Riding for the Disabled Association.

As part of the New Year Countdown activities in Sha Tin, the event will also feature a three-day exhibition called "Discovering the Equestrian World" which is aimed at instilling a deeper knowledge about the equestrian sport. Scale models of two of the venues for the Equestrian Events in Hong Kong will go on display.

Visitors will also be able to pose for pictures with two Shetland ponies.

The equestrian-themed event will be held at Sha Tin Park's Walled Garden opposite the Sha Tin Law Courts.
