Temporary traffic and transport arrangements in Causeway Bay

    The Transport Department announced today (December 22) that to facilitate painting of road markings and carriageway widening works at Victoria Park Road westbound, temporary traffic and transport arrangements would be implemented in Causeway Bay from about 11pm on Monday (December 25).

     Temporary lane closure of the following road sections will be implemented in phases from about 11pm on Monday (December 25) to 10am on Tuesday (December 26):

-Victoria Park Road westbound between Cleveland Street and Causeway Bay Promenade;
-Victoria Park Road westbound between Cleveland Street and World Trade Centre;
-Victoria Park Road westbound between the downramp of Island Eastern Corridor and Cleveland Street;
-Victoria Park Road westbound between the downramp of Island Eastern Corridor and the new Causeway Bay flyover;
-Island Eastern Corridor westbound between Watson Road and Victoria Park Road; and
-Island Eastern Corridor westbound between Oil Street and Victoria Park Road.

     Traffic along Island Eastern Corridor westbound heading for Cross Harbour Tunnel and Causeway Bay will be diverted via Hing Fat Street, Tsing Fung Street and Victoria Park Road. Three overnight bus routes (N118, N102 and N8P), which operate along the closed roads, will be diverted.

     Appropriate traffic aids will be provided on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to pay attention to the traffic signs and take heed of directions of the Police. In case of traffic congestion, motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience.
