********************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of The Equestrian Company:

Revellers at the New Year's Eve countdown in Sha Tin Park will be able to partake of more than the usual fun of song and dance and acrobatics.

There will be a special thematic event entitled "Equestrian Fun Park" to mark the staging of the Equestrian Events in Hong Kong during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Among the items will be horses for dressage in a demonstration to enable visitors to enjoy the beautiful moves of horses "dancing to ballet".

Hong Kong's Para-Equestrian Team captain, Nelson Yip, will also be sharing his experiences with visitors and performing dressage.

The event will also feature a three-day exhibition called "Discovering the Equestrian World" which is aimed at instilling a deeper knowledge about the equestrian game. The scale models of two of the venues for the Equestrian Events in Hong Kong will go on display.

Visitors will also be able to pose with two Shetland ponies for pictures.

The equestrian-themed event will be held at Sha Tin Park's Verandah.

The event is free of charge and is jointly organised by The Equestrian Company, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Riding for the Disabled Association.
