Radio programme to commend outstanding disabled employees

    The Labour Department and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) have jointly produced a radio programme to enhance public understanding of the working abilities of people with disabilities, thereby promoting their employment opportunities.

     Entitled "For the Disabled ﷿ Hope and Faith", the programme will feature five winners of the "Outstanding Disabled Employees Award 2006" which was organised by the Labour Department. The winners will share their experiences in achieving outstanding performances at work and overcoming difficulties.

     In addition, the nominating employers of the winners will share their experiences in employing people with disabilities. The programme will also promote services provided to disabled job-seekers by the Selective Placement Division of the Labour Department.

     Pop stars Annie Heung and Hins Cheung and disc jockey Tsang Chi-ho will interview the winners and play the part of these disabled employees to bring out their success stories in radio dramas.

     The programme will be broadcast on Fridays from December 15 to January 19 next year from 4pm to 4.30pm on RTHK Radio 1's programme "Civil Society".
