Warren Lee and Zhu Bei to play Brahms' Complete Sonatas
*******************************************************

Renowned Hong Kong pianist Warren Lee and violinist Zhu Bei will play Johannes Brahms' Complete Sonatas for Piano and Violin in their coming recital.

Hailed by critics as a pianist "with technique to burn, an extraordinary intellect, and a Horowitzian colour of romanticism", Warren Lee made his debut with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra under a live TV and Radio broadcast at the age of six. He has performed widely as a soloist in Hong Kong and Macau since then. A graduate of Yale University and Royal Academy of Music, Lee's artistry has brought him to concert stages in Asia, Europe and North America, appearing both as a soloist and as a chamber musician in various festivals.

Joining him to perform in the concert is talented violinist Zhu Bei. She is currently the Third Associate Concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic. Zhu's musical intelligence brings her to stages in different countries around the world, and she has made some remarkable achievements in numerous international competitions. Lee and Zhu will collaborate and perform Johannes Brahms' Complete Sonata for Piano and Violin in G, in A, and in D Minor in the recital.

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, "Piano and Violinist recital by Warren Lee and Zhu Bei" will be staged at 8pm, January 10, 2007 (Wednesday) at the Theatre, Hong Kong City Hall. Tickets priced at $130 and $90, are available at URBTIX outlets.
