Members of the public will have a chance to admire the architecture of Government House and take a stroll in its garden during the open day on November 12.
"Government House is open to the public twice a year. On November 12, it will be open from 10am to 5pm. Visitors may pass by the Drawing Room and Dining Room where the Chief Executive holds important official functions and receives dignitaries. The previous open day on March 12 attracted thousands of visitors," a Government spokesman said.
Visitors should make full use of public transport. They are requested to enter the garden by the east gate at Upper Albert Road and leave by the main gate. Depending on the length of the queue, the Police may announce a cut-off time for lining up outside Government House to ensure that those in the queue can be admitted in time.
