Autumn Fair to be held tomorrow (with photos)
*********************************************

The Correctional Services Department Sports Association (CSDSA) will hold its 54th Autumn Fair in Stanley tomorrow (November 4).

Executive Director of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Dr Rosanna Wong will officiate.

The theme of this year's fair is "Care, love, support rehabilitation", a reflection of the Correctional Services Department's commitment to seek community support for rehabilitation of offenders.

Fifty-four years after it was founded, fascination for the fair continues. Products including arts and handicrafts, toys, as well as rattan and wooden furniture made by the prisoners will be on sale at about 40 stalls.  All proceeds from the sales will go to charities including services for prisoners' welfare, which provides an opportunity for prisoners to contribute to the community.

The fair features a rich entertainment programme including a variety show, auction, marching band display, lion dance, training demonstration of guard dogs, and a lucky draw.

The fair will take place from 11am to 5pm on the football field next to Stanley Prison. People are welcome to share in the fun and contribute to charities.  Admission is free.

To solicit public acceptance to rehabilitated offenders, a variety show entitled "Support Rehabilitation with Care and Love" will be staged by Rehabilitation Ambassador, Mr Alex Fong, along with other artistes and pop singers.

The venue is accessible by bus routes 6, 6X, 63, 73, 260 and 973 and green minibus routes 40 and 52.
