Ten lucky tenants who won the grand prize in the first part of the "Rent Payment by Auto-pay Lucky Draw" each received a $3,000 shopping coupon at the prize presentation ceremony today (June 30).
The prize presentation took place at the Housing Authority Exhibition Centre. Mr Lau Kai-hung, Deputy Director츁Estate Management﷿of the Housing Department, presented the shopping coupons to the winners. The ten lucky winners came from Oi Tung Estate, Cheung Ching Estate, Shek Lei (I) Estate, Lai On Estate, Upper Wong Tai Sin Estate, Lower Wong Tai Sin (II) Estate, Tze Man Estate, Sheung Tak Estate and Tin Yiu (I) Estate.
Mr Lau said,䩕to encourage public housing tenants to use auto-pay for rent payment,the Housing Department has launched a series of promotional activities since early this year. Auto-pay can spare the tenants, especially the elderly, the trouble of queueing up at the shroff office.蒅
Madam Kong, one of the first prize winners, said using auto-pay to pay rent was really convenient and time saving and she was glad that her son arranged the auto-pay service for her several years ago.
Besides the 10 first prize winners, another 1,150 lucky tenants who have won the second, third or consolation prizes will each receive shopping coupons of different value respectively. There are two phases of the lucky draw. The Grand Draw will be held in November this year. Tenants who pay rent by auto-pay from August to November successively will be eligible for the Grand Draw automatically and gain a chance to receive a fabulous prize of $6,000 shopping coupon.
