"Special Topics Report No. 44" on Social Statistics Published

    The "Special Topics Report No. 44" on social statistics is published by the Census and Statistics Department today (June 29).

     The report contains the findings of a special enquiry on "Job-changing of employed persons" which was conducted by the Census and Statistics Department via the General Household Survey during July to September 2005.    

     This enquiry targetted at persons aged 15 and over who were employed at the time of enumeration and had changed jobs in Hong Kong during the year before enumeration.  Information was collected on their socio-economic characteristics, their reasons for leaving the last job and the working conditions in their last job and present job.  

     The report includes findings of the above enquiry with some 20 statistical tables and charts.  Users can download this publication free of charge at the "Statistical Bookstore, Hong Kong" (www.statisticalbookstore.gov.hk) of the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD).
