The Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau today (June 1) announced that in response to requests from the industry, the consultation period on the establishment of the Communications Authority would be extended for two weeks until Friday, June 16, 2006.
The Government launched a three-month consultation in March this year on the setting up of the Communications Authority as a unified regulator for the electronic communications sector in Hong Kong.
The consultation document can be downloaded from the following website: www.citb.gov.hk/ctb. All comments should be sent to the Communications and Technology Branch of the bureau, 2/F Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong on or before June 16, by post, by fax to 2511 1458 or by email to kevinchoi@citb.gov.hk.
