Have fun by joining water sports training scheme this summer

    Young water sports lovers are welcome to join a training scheme this summer and enjoy the fun of water sports in a safe environment.

     Youngsters aged eight to 13 and able to swim 50 meters or more can join the Junior Water Sports Training Scheme organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

     Coached by professional instructors, participants will not only enjoy the fun of water sports activities in a safe environment, but will also cultivate the habit of exercising regularly.

     Courses held in July and August will include junior kayaking, windsurfing and sailing at different levels.

     Applications for courses held in July will be accepted from tomorrow (May 20) to May 24. Applications for courses held in August will be accepted from June 20 to June 25.

     Application forms will be available at all water sports centres, the District Leisure Services Offices, sports centres and Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre. Information of the courses is also available at http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/leisurelink and http://www.esd.gov.hk.

     Completed application forms should be submitted in person, by mail or fax to the respective water sports centres, or via http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/leisurelink.  
Places will be allocated by ballot.
