Exhibition of flower show drawing competition at Kowloon Park (with photos)

    Winning entries of the Nanyang Commercial Bank Student Drawing Competition of Hong Kong Flower Show 2006, are now on display at the Kowloon Park Arcade until May 4, 2006.
 
     The exhibition showcases the talents of students in arts and features impressive drawings of flowers and garden displays in the Hong Kong Flower Show 2006.

     The competition held on March 3, was one of the activities of the flower show, with the aims of demonstrating students' flair and enhancing their awareness of conserving plants and the natural environment.

     The competition was conducted in four categories, they were Junior Section in Primary School (Primary One to Primary Three); Senior Section in Primary School (Primary Four to Primary Six); Junior Section in Secondary School (Form One to Form Three); and Senior Section in Secondary School (Form Four to Form Seven).

     Chan Wing-lam from St Catharine's School for Girls, KT, was the  overall winner of the Secondary School Section and the champion of the Senior Section in Secondary School. Cheung Tik-yuen from CCC Wanchai Church Kei To Primary School was the overall winner of the Primary School Section and the champion of the Senior Section in Primary School.

     This year, the drawing competition attracted more than 2,000 students from 195 schools. Apart from the exhibition at Kowloon Park, the winning drawings will also be uploaded to the LCSD website from May to June for public viewing.
