Statement by Secretary for Home Affairs on death of Sai Kung District Council member

    The following is a statement by the Secretary for Home Affairs, Dr Patrick Ho, today (April 4) on the death of appointed member of the Sai Kung District Council, Mr Chan Kwai-sang, who passed away this morning:

     "I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mr Chan.

     "Mr Chan was appointed as a member of the Sai Kung District Council in 2000 and re-appointed in 2004. I very much appreciated his willingness to work hard to serve the community.

     "Mr Chan's death is a great loss to the District Council. On behalf of my colleagues, I extend my deep condolences to his family."
