The Correctional Services Department (CSD) appeals to members of the public to use public transport and follow instructions given by staff of Victoria Prison during the prison's open days this Saturday (March 18) and Sunday (March 19). The prison will be open from 10am to 5pm.
Admission will be by donation of $20 minimum per head to the Community Chest of Hong Kong at the entrance to the prison, which is located at 16 Old Bailey Street in Central.
Visitors should use the entrance at the Main Gate of Victoria Prison on Old Bailey Street and queue up along Chancery Lane adjacent to the prison. The exit is at the car park compound of the former Central Police Station on Hollywood Road.
The open days mark the decommissioning of the prison.
